Born in Strasbourg in 1980, Christophe Devoille discovered his passion for pastry at the age of 15, baking alongside his mother in the family kitchen. After completing pastry school, he embarked on an international journey, beginning at the iconic La Côte Basque in New York. He later returned to France to join Alain Ducasse in Paris, where he spent more than a decade refining his craft and eventually rose to the position of Corporate Pastry Chef, overseeing the pastry programs of 27 venues around the globe.
In 2014, Christophe moved to Macao as Executive Pastry Chef for the pre-opening of Wynn Palace, before taking the helm of the pastry department at London’s legendary Annabel’s. He relocated to Dubai in 2019 to join Atlantis The Royal, where he now leads a team of 65 chefs across 17 restaurants and created his own boutique concept, The Royal Tea Room by Christophe Devoille.
Christophe’s work has earned consistent acclaim: “Best Pastry Chef of the Year” (Caterer Magazine 2023, 2024, 2025), two consecutive Gault & Millau wins (2024, 2025), and in 2024, La Liste 1000 named his Afternoon Tea the “World’s Best.” In 2025, he expanded his creative universe with the opening of Maison Devoille at One&Only One Za’abeel, a showcase of his signature blend of French heritage, modern elegance, and innovative craftsmanship.
