The Pastry World Cup:
A delicious and responsible revolution

The Pastry World Cup is a major international event that brings together the world’s finest pastry talents. During the competition, three specialists - a ice cream expert, a sugar artist, and a chocolatier - join forces to tackle demanding technical challenges within their respective disciplines.

More than just a competition, the Pastry World Cup represents a true revolution in the art of pastry, elevating the craft to unprecedented heights. It brings together teams from around the globe and offers them a unique platform to express not only their technical excellence and creativity, but also their cultural identity. Today, the world of pastry stands at a crossroads. More responsible and engaged than ever before, the profession is fully embracing the environmental and social challenges of our time. In response, the competition continues to evolve by integrating more sustainable practices and actively reducing its ecological footprint.

The Pastry World Cup shines a spotlight on a form of pastry that respects nature, natural resources, and local traditions, while celebrating inventive indulgence—one that conveys emotion and tells stories that resonate across cultures worldwide.

The 2025 Final edition's theme: National Heritage

Following a cycle of national selections and continental competitions, the Grand Final of the Pastry World Cup took place on January 24 and 25, 2025, during Sirha Lyon. The 18 teams competing for the title of Pastry World Champion went head-to-head around a shared theme: national heritage. This theme offered candidates the opportunity to celebrate their country and culture through their creations.

For this new edition, the competition was firmly rooted in cultural expression and national identity. Teams were tasked with designing works inspired by their heritage, highlighting not only their technical expertise but also the gastronomic and cultural richness of their homeland. Their mission was clear: to take the jury on a journey and convey the emotion and story behind each creation. Selected from all corners of the globe, the teams combined technical mastery, artistic vision, and teamwork to showcase the cultural symbols and culinary treasures of their nation.

Each creation was expected to tell a story - the story of a country, its traditions, and the soul of its people.
