Guayaquil Food Show – The Gourmet Experience is much more than a gastronomic event: it is a celebration of contemporary Ecuadorian culinary excellence. Designed according to international standards, this show is an immersive showcase where tradition, innovation, and passion meet.

The Guayaquil Food Show features:

An immersive gourmet fair with 12 renowned chefs and 4 bartenders, set in a premium environment blending music and art.
A culinary exhibition dedicated to products, equipment, services, and gastronomic innovations.
A gastronomy congress with conferences, international masterclasses, live cooking shows, and product launches.
National and international culinary competitions, including the selections for the Pastry World Cup and Bocuse d’Or Americas.

The selected candidates for the Ecuador National Selection of the Pastry World Cup are Juan Sarango (Sugar), Steben Gaviño (Chocolate), and José Palma (Ice)!

The Ecuador National Selection took place on September 26, 2025, as part of the Guayaquil Food Show. This highlight event showcased the country’s emerging culinary talents through the Grand Prix of Ecuadorian Gastronomy.

The candidates were challenged to demonstrate their creativity, technical mastery, and passion to represent Ecuador at the Pastry World Cup.

The day concluded with a gastronomic gala — the very first edition of an event celebrating Ecuadorian culinary excellence.
