Team Italy competed in the European Continental Selection of the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie, represented by Gabriele Gianfo (chocolate), Marco Deidda (sugar) and Alessandro Fiorucci (ice sculpture), with Alessandro Dalmasso serving as jury representative.
Following a demanding competition marked by a high level of technical precision and artistic mastery, the Italian team achieved third place, earning the bronze medal at the European selection. Their performance convinced the jury through the consistency of their work and the strength of their collective approach across all three disciplines.
This result confirms Italy’s strong presence on the European pastry scene and secures the team’s place among the continent’s top competitors advancing in the competition cycle.
Team Italy will now take part in the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie Grand Final, held during Sirha Lyon, on 22 and 23 January 2027, where they will represent Italian pastry excellence on the world stage.
