Looking ahead to the Pastry World Cup

Created in 1989, the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie is now the most prestigious international competition dedicated to the world of pastry. It brings together the best pastry chefs, chocolatiers and ice cream makers from around the world through exceptional challenges combining creativity, precision and innovation. 

In 2027, the competition begins a new cycle with the national selections. 
For the first time, the French selections for the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie will take place on February 15, 2027, at Parc Chanot in Marseille

 This inaugural stage marks the beginning of a two-year journey leading to the continental selections in 2028, followed by the grand international final in January 2029.

The Tests

Chocolate Candidates

  • 1 chocolate presentation: 14 chocolate-based sweet creations, including 2 display pieces (non-edible)
  • 1 artistic chocolate showpiece
  • 1 buffet display featuring the chocolate showpiece + the display creations

Sugar Candidates

  • 4 pear tarts, including 1 display (non-edible), each serving 6 people
  • 1 artistic sugar showpiece
  • 1 buffet display featuring the sugar showpiece + the display tart

Ice Candidates

  • 8 individual plated frozen desserts, including 1 display piece (non-edible)
  • 1 artistic ice sculpture to be finalized on-site
