Spain has not participated in the world's top competition, the Lyon Pastry World Cup (Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie), for a whopping 15 years. It was precisely in the 2011 edition when it reached for the first and last time the maximum glory by winning this competition.
Thus, with the illusion of returning Spain to the top, it has launched an ambitious project formed by cutting-edge professionals in all areas of sweet gastronomy. Its first objective is to get through the European Pastry Cup 2026, to be held in January next year in Paris. This European qualifier is the preliminary step to the final, the World Cup, which will take place in January 2027 in Lyon.
