In a couple of weeks, the Asian Pastry Cup, continental selection for the coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie, will be launched.
Singapore will host on April 12th and 13th 2016 this continental step of the world selection process. The 11 teams composed of 2 pastry talents, will compete for more than 5 hours. The programme is a real challenge: a chocolate entremets, a plated-dessert and two artistic pieces to create by each team.
The competing countries are: India, China, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, Japan and Syria.
The famous French Pastry Chef, Pierre Hermé, pioneer in Haute-Couture pastry, will preside over the contest jury.
After the two competition days, the 3 best teams will earn their ticket to the Grand Finale, joining the 19 other qualified countries. They will compete for the world title during Sirha Lyon in January 2017.
